HISTORY OF of RENÉ QUINTON (1866-1925)

René Quinton was a renowned and beloved French doctor, biologist, biochemist, physiologist and humanitarian. Quinton was committed to answering the profound question, "Where did all life begin?" The idea that all life on earth was a product of a single-celled oceanic organism fascinated him.

It was this question that led Quinton to explore unique oceanic environments to find the answer. What he found was plankton, the single-celled microcosm of life, springing to life in vortex-shaped plankton "blooms" (or colonies) that stretched a hundred miles across.

In seeking to discover the relationship of the simple single-celled plankton to the incredibly complex cellular structure of the human body, Quinton stumbled upon the amazing properties of the ocean water within the vortex plankton bloom. He found that plankton secrete a fluid as they wander, and that fluid, mixed with the surrounding seawater, had profound implications for human health. He called it marine Plasma , and by 1897 Quinton had developed the protocol for harvesting, processing and administering it to effect unprecedented results.

Marine Plasma contains in all 78 minerals, trace minerals and co-factors that the human body needs, in almost the exact ratios in which we need them. Inspired by the stunning clinical results achieved with his ocean Plasma, Quinton was one of the financiers behind the Wright Brothers' race to make air flight a reality. Quinton wanted to be able to bring ocean Plasma to the sub-Saharan children in Africa suffering from dysentery, cholera, and dehydration. His dream was cut short when he was drafted into the French army during WWI. He later died in 1925 from war wounds.

When René Quinton passed away, he was a French national hero. It is estimated that as many as one million people from all around the globe attended his funeral. In fact, in October, 2004, the French Ministry of Science and Health celebrated 100 years of Quinton science by holding a world symposium on the historical and contemporary oral use of Quinton Plasma.
